Fairy Magazine and Selene Crystal Real Silver Jewellery

Enchanted Living Magazine is a quarterly print magazine that celebrates all things enchanted. Every issue features exquisite photography, original fiction and poetry, travel pieces (from bioluminescent bays to Scottish fairy hills and castles), artist profiles, recipes, home décor, otherworldly beauty tips, craft tutorials, and much more—with a dash of faerie (and mermaid, and dragon!) magic sprinkled throughout. "It’s as though Martha Stewart Living and Edmund Spenser’s ‘‘The Faerie Queene’’ had a magazine baby." — NY TIMES

    For the poetry lover:

Want to indulge in some delicious witchy energy this Ostara, but don’t have so much time to read?
We recommend Nikita Gill’s Fierce Fairytales & Other Stories to Stir Your Soul. A collection of poetry inspired by many of the fairytales we grew up hearing, however with a feminist twist. Go on a journey and hear the true untethered voices of these iconic characters, in poems such as ‘Why Tinkerbell Quit Anger management’ or ‘Lessons from the Not-So-Wicked Witch to Dorothy’.
Alongside the truly spellbinding prose are a collection of illustrations drawn by the author herself which are peppered through the book. Not only that, but the beautiful hardback cover with goldleaf print will look beautiful tucked away on any witchy alter.

“A clever woman is more lethal than a freshly crafted magic wand, and that is why she is fear.”

    For the non-fiction fan:

For some more practical witchcraft The Spell Book for New Witches by Ambrosia Hawthorn is our recommendation! We received her book as a Christmas gift this year, and it has quickly become our 'go to' book for spells & magick. The book is beautiful printed with an easy to follow contents, covering everything a beginners witch could need - from spells for work & career to protection & forgiveness and of course, romantic love. The framework of the book is much like your everyday cookbook, each spell has a clear list of recommended ingredients/tools, followed by a step by step guide on how to cast each spell. Not only does this make it easy to follow, but creates a great groundwork for understanding how to perform/write your own spells in the future. Hawthorn also includes summaries of important holidays, terminology & signifiers - yet she keeps them short, engaging and never over complicates!

Hawthorn opens the book with 'To my fellow witches who seek out magic to create change in their lives' which perfectly encapsulates our feelings about the revival of witchcraft! It is clear she understand exactly what the modern witch is searching for in a practical & introductory guide to the craft.

    For a longer read:

For anybody familiar with the The Odyssey and the story of the great Greek hero Odysseus, the powerful nymph Circe on the island of Aeaea is unforgettable. She lives alone, surrounded by wild animals and is a well-practiced witch, able to turn Odysseus’s rude crewmen into pigs. Like most depictions of women in early literature, Circe remains a relatively one-dimensional character, succumbing to Odysseus charm and becoming his lover. Eventually she releases the men from her curse and helps to send Odysseus on his merry way….
Miller’s reimagining of the myth Circe serves us a complex and weighted character, alongside beautiful, dreamy prose. Circe is provided her own story, a start, beginning and end. Of course, Odysseus still features; but instead he is just one small part of her epic narrative. She is a daughter, a mother, and a lover, a self-taught witch and a woman who has fought to find her own power and independence from her family. Circe becomes the hero of her own feminist spellbinding journey, making it an unforgettable witchy ‘must read’ novel.

“Humbling women seems to me a chief pastime of poets. As if there can be no story unless we crawl and weep.”
    ― Madeline Miller, Circe
